- Description
- The purpose of this Amendment 0003 to RFP W25G1V-12-R-0026 is to answer remaining offeror questions received. The offer due date and time remains the same, 28 JUNE 2012 @ 3:00P.M. 1. The following offeror questions were received and are provided with the government's response: Q1. Do locations specified as "Pits" require equipment to access these areas? Are any of these hazmat precautionary? A1. Locations specified as pits on the points list provided as Attachment 2 to Amendment 0001 do not require special equipment to access and are not hazmat precautionary. Q2. Are batteries replaced by the Contractor/Vendor or by the Government/Army base? A2. Solicitation Attachment 1, paragraphs 2.1.4 b) and 2.1.5 d) requires testing of all batteries in the main alarms/panels, extender panels and vision 21. When batteries test bad then the repair work will be covered under the remedial repair. Q3. Is Vendor responsible for purchasing the spare parts on the spare parts list which he will define? Or does the Government purchase these items? A3. Reference Amendment 0002, Q/A 11 and combined Synopsis/Solicitation Attachment 1, subparagraph 2.1.6.4 and the requirement for the contractor to submit a recommended spare parts list within six months of initial inspection. The government will then review the list and decide whether to authorize purchase of spare parts under the remedial repair portion of the statement of work. This is not a requirement to be included in the proposal. Q4. Is there a scissor lift on location? A4. Reference Solicitation Attachment 1, Paragraph 2.1.5 e) as added by Amendment 0001, paragraph 3, some warehouse heights are at or above 25 feet, therefore a lift will be required to service/clean/test cameras and indicating devices. There is no government provided lift available for contractor use Q5. Is there a specified mark-up on equipment for repair quotes or is this up to the vendor? A5. Solicitation Attachment 1, Paragraphs 2.1.6.2 and 2.1.6.3 requires the contractor submit a quote for recommended repair actions with a complete cost breakdown to include labor and material costs to the COR for review and approval. The Government may elect to have the repairs performed or, if the quote is not acceptable, have the repairs performed under a separate contract. Q6. We are missing counts for 27 buildings in the addendums that were sent. Did they forward them elsewhere? A6. The buildings listed in Solicitation Attachment 1, Paragraph 1.1 that are not listed on the point lists provided as Attachment 2 to Amendment 0001 is due to a points list not being available for those buildings at this time. 2. No further questions will be accepted for this solicitation. 3. The Proposal due date remains the same: 28 JUNE 2012 @ 3:00 P.M. 4. All other terms, conditions, and requirements of the solicitation remain the same.
