Description
The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System is considering lease space on a short term basis to continue the operation of the VA Vet Center until a long term lease is solicited and awarded. The lease will be for one year and one option year with a 60 day termination clause (effective for the base and option term) for the VA to vacate the lease as soon as soon as a long term lease is signed and tenant improvements are complete. The current space occupied by VA is located at 2200 Veterans Blvd. Kenner, La. Space outside of this building will be considered with the cost of relocation, tenant improvement, other associated costs and location taken into account. Award is based on lowest price per RSF and overall costs of occupying the space. The required geographic for the service location is described in the delineated area description below. Award will be made on the basis of lowest priced technically acceptable proposal. See below for explanation of technically acceptable. LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE Space is technically acceptable if; Lessor accepts a 60 day vacate notice, allowing VA to give notice and leave if and when another property is located and prepared for long term occupancy by VA All VA required services are included in the lease. The space is ready for immediate move in and suitable for use as a Veterans Center with office and working IT closet and group rooms readily available. No tenant improvement is required. Ease of access to commuting VA clients, availability of restaurant and food service & public transportation within a walkable ½ mile patients and environment facilitates the Vet Center activity.
