- Description
- This notice is for Project 620-12-212 Renovations Bldg 13 and 14 at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System Montrose Campus Route 9A Montrose, NY 10548-1454. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS code 236220, and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. The cost estimate for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the job for the demolition, hazardous material abatement, and renovation of an area in building 14 for renovation as the "Computer Laboratory" and building 13 for renovation as the "Patriot Store" and comply with VA specifications and VA regulations, procedures and conditions for work at the medical center and any applicable codes as per requirements of all governing agencies. Work shall include selective demolition and modifications of existing walls, ceilings, plumbing, electrical, etc. debris disposal, encapsulation coatings to interior surfaces: walls, ceilings, etc., all new work: perimeter wall furring construction, insulation, electrical, wall finishing, fire sprinkler and alarm work, and other related and ancillary work. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of the hospital other than abatement activities and utility ties ins during off duty hours. Maintain all access to and egress from the buildings at all times for facility's fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.FBO.gov. The solicitation will be released on or around July 10, 2012. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submission shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered in www.ccr.gov, verified by CVE and registered in www.vetbiz.gov, www.orca.bpn.gov, and http://vets100.vets.dol.gov. End of Description
