- THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED TO REPLACE THE PREVIOUS SPECIAL NOTICE FOR VA247-12-I-0403 to expand the existing telemetry monitoring system at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Decatur, GA. THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING A MARKET SURVEY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS, QUOTATIONS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a sources sought to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. Small businesses concerns shall be capable of provide the necessary equipment and personnel to furnish service in the volume required for all the items under this contract. Contractor shall meet all requirements of Federal, State or City codes regarding operations of this type of service. The NAICS code is 334510 (Size Standard: 500 employees) DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: Subject: Expand the existing Telemetry Monitoring System at the Atlanta VAMC. NCO 7, Atlanta VAMC is seeking potential sources to install additional equipment and software for the current telemetry system installed by Philips at Atlanta VA Medical Center, Decatur, GA. Qualified offerors must be able to install and configure to an existing fully operational Telemetry System for coverage on medical center patient floors. The contractor shall provide the following components of the system with associated parts to accomplish the implementation of 11 MP30's for Variable Acuity Unit with Central Station and Database: "Philips IntelliVue TRX transmitter/receivers "IntelliVue ITS4843B smart hopping access points "M3155 Information Center Network DB Rel N.O "M3154 Large Database Server Upgrade Rel N.O "Large Flat Panel Displays "All required hardware for the installation of the above components They are essential components required for expanding telemetry coverage to all patient floors in the medical center. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Please indicate if you can provide the equipment, installation services as well as training for medical staff using the equipment. It is anticipated that a Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued in July 2012. Point of Contact: Jessica Coleman-Smith, Contract Specialist, Jessica.Coleman-Smith@va.gov POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates the offeror's past performance in providing this type of service. Please include the following: (a) staff expertise including their availability, experience, and formal and other training; (b) current in-house capability and capacity to perform the work; (c) prior completed projects of similar nature; (d) corporate experience and management capability; and (e) examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. 3) Submit Capability Statements by June 27, 2012 to Jessica Coleman-Smith. Responses should be received no later than 2:00 PM EST. Submissions must be made via email to: Jessica.coleman-smith@va.gov NO CAPABILITY STATEMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED AFTER JUNE 27, 2012. AT THIS TIME NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. (DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION). A FUTURE NOTICE WILL BE POSTED WHEN THE SOLICITATION WILL BE RELEASED. 4) Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
