- The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) numbered VA786A-12-Q-0047 for project #851-12-101 entitled "Memorial Walkway & Sidewalk Repairs" on or about June 25, 2012, for Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.6 Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOPPS (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR); In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a bid must be Center for Veterans Enterprise verified and visible in the VIP database at time of bid due date and award. There will be a pre-bid site investigation; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be included in the solicitation package. NAICS Code: 238910Size Standards: $14Million Project Magnitude: Between $25,000 and $100,000 Period of Performance: 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFQ solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Contract Specialist will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an RFQ is issued. Once the RFQ is issued, interested parties must submit questions via email to the Contract Specialist. Questions will be answered through an amendment of the solicitation. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to demolishing and removing the selected portions of the concrete Memorial Walkway as show on the contract drawings. Concrete shall be removed to the nearest expansion joint, control joint, or for partial removals, in the location(s). Excavate to remove existing base material to subgrade, install and compact new 4" thick aggregate base material in preparation for the placement of new concrete in accordance with the contract documents. Recompact existing subgrade to 95% compaction prior to placing new aggregate base material. Place 4000 psi concrete (4" minimum thickness) with 6"x6"/W2.9 x W2.9 welded wire fabric (WWF). Accepted final project shall be in accordance with final contract documents, applicable drawings, plans and specifications.
