Description
Process: This request is to gather information from interested parties and is deemed essential as part of our collaborative, deliberate planning process of designing a mobile application game for the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service. FSIS is expanding its consumer education outreach efforts by attracting new demographics for its food safety campaigns; Food Safe Families, Cook it Safe, and Be Food Safe. Interested parties should reply no later than close of business July 2, 2012. Description: This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Government is requesting information regarding the step by step process of the development of a mobile phone application game. The government also seeks information regarding the availability and feasibility of attracting potentially new service providers to meet our mobile phone application development need. The information provided by interested parties should include descriptions of points in the process where costs can fluctuate based on complexity of the game concepts and graphic work. Estimates of costs should be provided with your response to allow for Government planning. Information provided should also include the benchmarks in the process where vendors can provide the Government the opportunity to review the game's development prior to reaching milestones which result in a cost to the Government. Vendors should provide examples of how gaming concepts can be designed to achieve learning objectives. They should also provide information as to whether they would be able to work with a Government graphic design employee. Disclaimer: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI will be treated as business confidential information, and exempted from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act. Nonetheless, submitters should properly mark their responses if the information is confidential. Response to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expense associated with responding to this RFI. Responses shall include a response to the information requested above along you're your company name and address, DUNS Number, and GSA/FSS Contract Information (if applicable).
