Description
Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast (Supship Gulf Coast) intends to issue an award for professional support services for design, engineering, technical, data management, Information Technology (IT) services, logistical, and related support in connection with the construction, reactivation, design, planning, conversion, repair and overhaul ships and crafts under the cognizance of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast to Gryphon Technologies. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO )site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for the posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Orders will be awarded pursuant to U.S.C. 2304 (c ) (1), only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Gryphon Technologies is the current provider for support services for Supship Gulf Coast. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This award will be for five (5) months with four one (1) month options.
