Description
NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA/JSC) plans to conduct a JSC Environmental Services (JES) Contract Virtual Industry Day via WebEx on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. One-on-one communication opportunities will be scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. The JES procurement will provide support for a broad range of activities in the Center Operations Directorates Environmental Office (JA/JE) at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) and JSCs satellite facilities Ellington Field (EF), Sonny Carter Training Facility (SCTF), and El Paso Forward Operating Location (EPFOL). JE is responsible for implementing and maintaining a site-wide (all employees and organizations) environmental compliance program that meets the requirements of local, state and Federal requirements along with NASA and JSC environmental policies. The current Environmental Support Services Contracts (ESSC), NNJ08JB01C, Statement of Work is provided on the JES website at http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/jes/. An online technical library for the JES procurement, which provides pertinent technical documentation associated with the JES procurement, is also available via the JES website. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor the website for any future updates. GOALS: The goals of Industry Day are to: 1. Provide information on the current Environmental Support Services Contract (ESSC). 2. Promote competition on the proposed new JES acquisition. 3. Share the Governments current vision for JA/JE. 4. Allow NASA/JSC to better utilize industry input to assist in the development of a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for the JES procurement. Industry Day is open to all firms that are interested in pursuing contracting or subcontracting opportunities on the JES procurement. No photographic or recording devices are permitted during the Industry Day presentation or one-on-one communication sessions. Questions may be sent in writing by July 12, 2012, to Shine Lin at shine.lin@nasa.gov. Answers to questions will be posted at http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/jes/ via a future amendment to this synopsis. ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS: To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will also be available for private meetings in person or via teleconference with individual companies in conjunction with Industry Day. The purpose of these meetings is to provide industry with the opportunity to better understand the existing requirements under the ESSC and to allow industry an opportunity to provide input related to the JES procurement. In particular, the JES team is interested in responses to the questions asked in the Sources Sought Synopsis, NNJ12ZBJ004L, posted on May 1, 2012. In addition, the Government may ask for additional clarification on written responses to these questions. The meetings are intended to be question and answer sessions in which neither side will be making a formal presentation. Acceptable Topics for Discussion: 1.The general purpose of the announced procurement; 2.Any information about JSC that NASA has already made accessible to the public or is otherwise being made available to all potential offerors; 3.Historical information about the general nature or scope of prior contracts whose requirements will be addressed in whole or in part under a follow-on procurement; 4.Information that describes the federal procurement process as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), or other published procurement policy documents; and 5.Procurement specific information already published such as information contained in the acquisition forecast, Statement of Work (SOW), and pre-solicitation synopses.
