Description

Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) currently uses the Pacific Land Mobile Radio (PLMR) system to communicate across the island. These radios include personal radios, bench-mounted radios and vehicular radios and are used for a variety of tasks to include emergency response, law enforcement, and exercise support. The existing Motorola manufactured equipment requires a service plan that will ensure the radios are economically maintained and remain viable assets within the LMR network. MCBH has equipment in the following quantities: four hundred eighty six (486) XTS 5000 Portable Radios, sixty two (62) XTL 5000 Mobile Radios, and thirty (30) Astro Consolettes.
