- This is a synopsis prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. This is a Notice of Intent. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number for this acquisition is NIH-OD2592104 and is being issued under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The anticipated award date is July 3, 2012.This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332911, which has a size dollar standard of 500. The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations, on the behalf of Division of Veterinary Resources Program (DVR) intends to procure on a sole source basis from SE Lab Group an Animal Drinking Water System. The re-circulating Animal Drinking Water System will supply water to four large primate rooms that house approximately 58 quad cages or 232 Macaque monkeys. SE Lab Group has designed and manufactured this re-circulating system and the replacement system parts and equipment must be compatible to the current system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Responses must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), March 28, 2011 to Mrs. Roshawn Majors. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please reference the announcement number on all correspondence.
