- The Coast Guard's Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or Small Business firms. The geographical restriction for this requirement is as follows: Restricted to the Western Rivers of the United States. The Western Rivers means the navigable portions of the Mississippi River & its tributaries above mile marker 0 of the Lower Mississippi River. Navigable tributaries of the Mississippi River include only the waterways within the area of jurisdiction of Coast Guard aids to navigation facilities as described in Light List Volume V (COMDTINST M16502.5), and the Tennessee-Timbigbee Waterway to the mouth of the Mobile River. This includes protected portions of the Intra Coastal Waterway connected to the "Western Rivers," but specially excludes unprotected or open waters such as Mobile Bay, Lake Borgne, and the Gulf of Mexico. Due to the period of performance falling in the winter monthys, the restriction area's northernmost limit on the Mississippi shall be St. Louis, MO. CGC GASCONADE is homeported at 9800 John J. Pershing Dr. Omaha, Nebraska 68112. Period of Performance will be 01/09/13 - 04/19/13. The requirement will result in award of a single firm fixed price ship repair contract.
