- 06/22/2012, THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. The NCO 19, Rocky Mountain Network Contracting Center, 4100 E. Mississippi Ave, Glendale CO is performing market research to determine if there are sufficient numbers of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses; Veteran Owned Small Businesses; or Small or emerging small businesses, or 8A businesses to set aside a single award contract that can perform the requirements illustrated in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Prime vendor awarded the contract shall be responsible for providing women ™s health education to primary care staff that provides care to women veterans in its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The acquisition request is to mirror the education currently being offered at Women ™s Health Mini-Residency conferences. This includes the use of Gynecology Teaching Associates (GTAs) to refine examination and patient-centered skills for medical staff. The GTA and site administrator will travel to seven CBOCs to provide women ™s health education to approximately 26 provider/nurse teams. The dates and schedule for training will occur between August 1 and Sept 30, 2012 and are to be projected in the Contractors price proposal; however, dates and time can be modified through negotiations between the COR and contractor. The training will occur over approximately seven work days and require the visits to be integrated into existing patient schedules. The objective is to refine the patient centered/patient advocacy approach and physical examination skills of health professional learners with GTAs. The learners will develop skills in developing rapport, educating patients, and performing efficient, thorough and comprehensive pelvic and breast examinations. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Contractors who have provided GTAs for VA Women ™s Health Mini Residency training are preferred. Contractors must be affiliated with a United States University/School of Medicine. Contractor shall provide certificates, credentials and affiliate certifications, and any other documentation commensurate to meeting the performance requirements illustrated in the Statement of Work. The contractor will supply an adequate number of GTAs and administration staff to accomplish the tasks required. Training will be coordinated with VA Montana staff to accomplish this training with minimal disruption to patient care. Each session will be from 1-2 hours dependent upon the number of participants. GTAs will use simulation models provided by the VAMTHCS to teach abnormal breast and pelvic presentations.
