- Description
- NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS) intends to issue a five year repair Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00383-12-G-004D for the repair of 17 different line components in support of the F/A-18 E-G airframe system. GE Aviation (CAGE 4N727 GE Aviation, Santa Ana, CA facility and CAGE 97415 GE Aviation, Yakima WA facility) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source to possess full repair capability. The contractor must have a Commercial Service Agreement (CSA) with the Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) and maintain CORE logistics capability. Complete data, drawings and the rights to the same are not available from the Government. The following are the top 3 high dollar value items for repair: Hook, Arresting, Aircraft P/N 74A481001-2011, NSN 7R 1560-01-531-3871 Actuator, Hydraulic, P/N 1D86450-1, NSN 7R 3010-01-461-7360 Fitting, Hold Back, P/N 2-7938-5, NSN 7R 1720-01-533-4867, For a complete list of all items to be repaired or any questions concerning this notice, contact Derek Dickens, 0221.23, 215-697-1008). The subject items require Government Source Approval prior to contract award, as the items are flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support repair via full and open competition. Only the source(s) previously approved by the Government for repair of these items has been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the U.S. Navy Aviation Supply Office Source Approval Information Brochure (available at: https://www.neco.navy.mil/sar.aspx). This brochure identifies the technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in repair of the same or similar item(s), or if your company has never repaired the same or similar item(s). If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVSUP WSS, submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter which forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this procurement. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
