Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following one-time service to provide a pilot pressure filter circuit upgrade to a unique one of a kind facility for a diesel powered, hydraulically driven wave machine (Littoral Warfare Environment (LWE). This request is to determine the cause of the filter blowout and to provide an engineered solution to protect the machinery. CLIN 0001 Provide an engineer's analyze and deliver a solution to the reoccurring filter blowouts. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order to MTS Systems Corporation, 14000 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, MN. MTS Systems Corporation, is the sole source to provide the service needed because they are the only source in United States able to provide the services required. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard in the number of employees is $7K. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 8:00 AM Eastern Time, June 26, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
