Description
The work includes: a)Removal and replacement of the logic controller system, power controller, drive motor, passenger car fixtures and finish, and hallway fixtures finish. b)The drive motor and controller shall be variable frequency. The drive will adjust and maintain the rotational speed of the motor in accordance with the load and position of the car relative to the floor level. c) The logic control shall be single relay and in accordance with latest codes. d) The selective collective automatic control will utilize the up and down call buttons at each level, register all landing and car calls and store them in the memory, call buttons are illuminated at each level where landing calls are registered and call buttons illumination shall cancel when car stops at designated level. e) The terminal and over-travel switches shall be provided. f) The following features shall be provided; pit stop switch, inspection station, alarm bell, emergency exit contact, emergency stop device in car, audible handicap feature, stuck push button supervision, car calls from machine room, landing calls from machine room, car door contact, emergency stop switch in control panel, motor protection (thermal and magnetic), phase failure detection, advance door opening, false car call cancel, fireman ™s service, nudging service and door safety device. g) Provide proper ventilation, heating, lighting and sound isolation in the cab and machinery room. h) Remove and replace existing electrical power supply. i) Install fire alarm sensors (heat and smoke) as required by NFPA 72 and NAVFAC UFC 3- 600-01. j) Hoisting Machine: clean and paint, replace bearings, clean and lube gears, replace seals, clean oil reservoir tank and replace oil, install drive sheave cable guard, replace hoist ropes and shackles. k) Replace door operator with a gearless drive door operator. The work will be performed at the Naval Support Activity, Philadelphia, Pa. This procurement will be obtained utilizing Request for Proposal. The resultant contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Design Build Construction type contract. The performance period is Two Hundred and Eight Five (285) days after contract award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290. The size standard is $14.0. NOTE: Construction work on this project will commence in JAN 2013. This solicitation will be issued as UNRESTRICTED. Open to both large and small business concerns. The availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Specifications WILL NOT be provided in a paper hard copy format or CD-ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is https://www.neco.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. An official planholders list will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. Failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Offerors should submit verification of their firm ™s registration in the CCR database with their bid.
