Description

Solicitation modification to add proposal due date Elastomeric coating for metal roof bldgs. 42 & 32 The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required to apply an elastomeric coating over the metal roof at Bldg 42 and Bldg 32. The elastomeric coating will be a liquid-applied system. The existing roof of bldg. 42 has an area of approximately 4000sf and bldg. 32 has an area of approximately 4,372 sf. The Contractor will prepare the surface by power washing, repair any rusted metal roof and around lead stacks, apply a layer of elastomeric flashing cement on all horizontal head-lap joints, vertical seams, vents, and curbs. An appropriate primer if required by product data sheet followed by 2 coats of elastomeric coating if required by product data sheet per industry standard. The exposed fasteners on the roof will be caulked over with a "Hershey kiss" to ensure a water tight roof when the metal thermally expands and contracts. The Contractor will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any damages to Air Force property that they inflict. It is highly recommended that the Contractor attend a pre-arranged site visit prior to submitting a bid. The site visit has been scheduled for 6/27/12 at 10:00am.
