- Pre-solicitation notice for work to remove the old fire alarm systems and install new ones in Buildings 1430, and for Buildings 1301, 1302, 1303, 1304, 1305, 1306, and 1307 at the USDA ARS campus located on Fort Detrick, MD. A formal Solicitation will be issued on or about 12-JULY-2012. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments on or about 12-JULY-2012 at the following website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ Price Range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The work includes following tasks and incidental related work: a. Design new fire alarm/mass notification system, and field verify existing conditions. b. Demolish old fire alarm system in buildings listed above, to include fire alarm panel, detectors, initiating devices, notification devices, and wiring. c. Install new fire alarm panel/ mass notification system where existing ones are located. d. Install new addressable initiation devices. e. Install new addressable notification devices. f. Install new amber color mass notification strobes. g. Install addressable manual fire alarm pull stations h. Install new fire alarm cable throughout building in existing conduit when possible. i. Install new detectors j. Test and commission new fire alarms system k. NOTE: Greenhouse will not require the design or installation of any fire alarm/mass notification system.
