Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Activity (NCO) VISN6 Central Acquisition Service intends to contract by means of other than full and open competition for Emergency repair contract for Varian OBI X-Ray Tube, Part Number 15144. The government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement. The NAICS Code is 339113 and the classification code is 6515. The suggested vendor is VArian Medical Systems Inc, 660 N McCarthy BLVD, Milpitas, CA 95035-5122. This equipment is to support the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Durham, North Carolina. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer.
