- ****ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO Michael Haywood, Contracting Officer, at Michael.Haywood@us.army.mil or Tijuana Brown, Contract Specialist, at Tijuana.d.brown@us.army.mil. Fax request to CCAM-CH-A, (256) 876-9066. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Army Contracting Command-Redstone is contemplating the issuance of a one (1) year task order for Engineering Studies and Technical Support to be executed with The Boeing Company, Route 291 & Stewart Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078-1099, Cage Code 77272. This requirement is sole source to The Boeing Company and shall conduct for possible improvements for the safe operations of CH-47 aircraft, which may result in configuration changes to the aircraft. This support shall include initial planning and engineering/technical coordination to determine the scope of the study. The study shall include a prototype components/kits being manufactured and tested in the lab. The contractor shall provide a Final Summary Technical Report for each study. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can provide the required service described above are encouraged to do so. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for further solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/CMO/ and looking under qualification procedures for aviation requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
