- This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via FebBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future detailing requirements for a supply requirement entitled: "Little Goose Spillway Stoplogs". The US Army Corps of Engineers requires contract for the purchase of 4 new replacement spillway stoplogs. Summary of Work: Construct 4 new replacement spillway stoplogs. Transport new stoplogs to Little Goose Lock and Dam by 30 Jan 2013 for testing (Feb. 1 thru 19). Stoplogs will be tested with 3 existing stoplogs to provide the full 7 emergency stoplogs necessary for the spillway. Acceptance tests shall be performed by the Contractor. Tests must be satisfactorily completed prior to final acceptance of the stoplogs by the Government. Leakage will be assessed for the first test condition, (a.) only. Both test condition will be assessed for inter-connection between stoplogs. a. Four new stoplogs stacked concurrently in the bottom four positions of the spillway stoplog slot. Three existing stoplogs will be stacked concurrently in the top three positions of the spillway stoplog slot. b. One new stoplog will be placed at the bottom of the spillway stoplog slot. An existing stoplog will be placed on top of the first stoplog. Stoplogs shall alternate between new and existing to the top position of the spillway stoplog slot. The Contractor shall be responsible for placing and removing all stoplogs for acceptance testing. Other Information: The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.fbo.gov) when released. Solicitation is scheduled to be issued as a IFB Supply contract. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. Conducting Business with the Government: In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All Offerors must be CCR registered prior to receiving an award. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.ccr.gov. By submission of a quote, a vendor acknowledges the requirement to be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the solicitation. Prior to quoting, it is preferred that vendors complete the Online Registration. Instructions may be obtained and required information may be entered at http://orca.bpn.gov. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of interest, connectivity, or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website.
