Description
F-22 Horizon Services Sources Sought Synopsis THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 309th Software Maintenance Group (SMXG) is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide services as required. The services required will be to assist and advise the stand up of installation of an F-22 Artificial Horizon. An Artificial Hori5zon (not be confused with an Attitude Indicator), is a horse shoe shaped structure, which shields a radar by reflecting and absorbing the open air radiation emitted by the radar. This contracted service will provide engineering and technical direction in the design, acquisition, and construction of an Artificial Horizon. The final deliverable is expected to be technical data that defines the necessary elements for design, material procurement, and construction of an Artificial Horizon. The contractor must also possess an in depth knowledge and capabilities of the development and construction of the Artificial Horizon specific to the F-22 aircraft Active Electronic Scanned Array (AESA) Radar System. The contractor must be willing to release all applicable data rights to the Government. This technical data will be used as supporting data in a Business Cost Analysis.
