Description
QUUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Question 1: Is the TOP roof.045 or.060? Answer 1- Either one is acceptable as long has conforms with the manufacturer's warranty that we require in the Scope of Work. Question 2: Is the deck sloped structurally or will the roofer need to supply the slope with tapered insulation? Answer 2- Steel structural deck is sloped. Question 3: Is the existing coping being replaced or painted? Answer 3- All coping shall be replaced. We will not use the old coping again. Question 4: Is the existing standing seam being painted? Answer 4- Standing seem metal roofing over front section of the office will not be painted. Question 5: Is the existing screen wall being painted? Answer 5- Screen wall will not be painted. Question 6: Will we be able to place a crane in the parking lot on the weekend if coordinated with site personnel? Answer 6- Yes, a small crane can be used on a weekend, as long as enough time is given to coordinate it with our office staff. Question 7: Will the building owners be asking for a UL, Underwriter Laboratories Inc. 3rd party inspection that the Lightning Protection System has been re-installed to current NFPA Standards? Answer 7- The specifications state restore system to original condition, IF that does not meet current electrical codes, then it must be modified to meet code. On top of page 10, section C - it says that contractors need to submit shop drawings of the system they intend to install. The system they plan to install must meet code. Question 8: Will you consider any alternate colors? If not can you indicate what manufactures material you were referencing when this was chosen? Answer 8 - Will accept white or gray.
