Description
The Forest Service contemplates issuing solicitation no. AG-0116-S-12-0085 for the POW Fish Passage Improvements project on or about June 30, 2012, with offers due on or about July 29, 2012. The estimated magnitude of the project, with all options, is between $500,000 and $1 Million. This project consists of a base bid for removal of three existing culverts at three different sites. The replacements are with two 50' and one 70' steel modular bridges. There are four bid options that may be considered. All options involve the removal of an existing culvert and replacing with a 40' glulam slab bridge. Options 1 through Option 4 are located at four different sites. The intent of this contract is to provide for the complete construction of the project described in the contract. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with drawings, specifications, and provisions of the contract. A total small business set-aside is contemplated. Offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation from this FBO website. The Forest Service will not mail paper copies. The USDA is an equal opportunity employer. All sources interested in offering on this project are invited to send a one-page fax or email to the buyer indicating their interest as a prime contractor along with their company name, address, and DUNS number. This information will be used to formalize a set-aside decision, not contemplated to be total small business.

Address: The project is located on the Prince of Wales road system starting just west and north of the community of Thorne Bay. Thorne Bay is situated approximately 75 air miles northwest of Ketchikan, Alaska. The site is accessible by boat, fixed wing aircraft, barge, and the Alaska State Ferry system., Thorne Bay, Alaska, United States
