Description
The National Park Service is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of vendors for an upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information as requested by this notice shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy decision based on the results of this market survey and a future solicitation may be issued as unrestricted without further consideration. This is not an invitation for bid (IFB) or request for proposal (RFP) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government to issue any solicitation. All interested firms must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). The associated NAICS Code is 541360. Project Description: Scope of Work: Provide Aerial Thermal Imagery of Knife River Indian Villages STANDARD SERVICES: I.Introduction The National Park Service is seeking to acquire aerial thermal imagery of area encompassing three archeological sites at Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site (KNRI), near Stanton, North Dakota. Aerial imaging, given appropriate elevation, timing, speed, and resolution, may offer an efficient and effective means of collecting data on distribution of archeological features large areas at KNRI. II.Tasks The service provider will collect high-resolution aerial thermal imagery across the project areas, using techniques and equipment appropriate to capturing data on thermal contrasts between features of interest and surrounding sediments. In order to achieve this objective, the following specifications are required. Equipment: Vendor shall use a high-resolution (320x240) digital thermal infrared camera, capable of measuring spectral wavelength variation in the 7 to 14 micron band with sensitivity to approximately.1 degree Celsius (Palm IR-250 or equivalent). Flight equipment shall be capable of flying at low altitudes, sufficient to capture high-resolution images (10-centimeter spatial resolution). Equipment shall also be capable of speeds slow enough to effectively eliminate image blurring. Timing: Flights shall be timed to maximize thermal contrasts between target features and surrounding sediments. Interested firms must submit the following information: 1. NAME OF FIRM 2. ADDRESS 3.
