Description

Design-Build Improve Drainage in Maintenance/Spoils Yard at Fort McPherson National Cemetery Located in Maxwell. Nebraska THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL IS RESTRICTED AS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESS. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to obtain contractor qualifications for which a contract, by means of negotiated firm fixed-price will be awarded. A contract will be awarded to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Offeror in accordance with FAR PART 15 and 36. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting proposals under Solicitation Number VA-786A-12-R-0022 for the following: Provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and design-build services necessary for design and construction of a project described here and in other specific tasks as further defined by this request for proposal (RFP). The project will provide for the design and construction services to completely pave the remainder of the Maintenance/Spoils Yard at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery with 6" thick, 4000 psi reinforced concrete pavement over an engineered base to match the existing concrete pavement. The design and construction shall include the provision of features to improve storm water drainage from the yard; and provide an outlet for an existing storm water catch basin located between the existing maintenance buildings. Improving site drainage may include excavation of the existing roadside ditch, etc. The design and construction shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations and requirements. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is 150 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. NAICS CODE: 236220SIZE STANDARD: $33.5 OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Request for Proposal (RFP) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be released for issue on June 14, 2012. All prospective offerors MUST register themselves on the website. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed.
