Sources Sought only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The VAMC Salem is currently has the need for a contractor(s) to furnish services, materials, and equipment required to pick-up, transport, and recycle or dispose of Universal Waste and Hazardous Waste at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia. The Contractor shall work with VA staff to properly manage, package, label, transport, and recycle or dispose of Universal Waste and Hazardous Waste generated at VAMC Salem in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations 40 CFR 273, Standards for Universal Waste and Hazardous Waste Management and 40 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) parts 260-270 for Hazardous Waste. Virginia Administrative Code 9VAC20-60-273 Standards for Universal Waste and 9VAC20-60 Hazardous Waste Management. The Contractor must comply with US Department of Transportation (DOT) packaging, labeling and shipping regulations (49 CFR 171-180). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This synopsis is not a solicitation announcement for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this announcement.
