- The government intends to award a sole source two year contract to the American College of Surgeons (ACS) This effort is supported by the implementation of an increasing number of widely-agreed upon quality measures and payment incentives for Inpatient Prospective Payment System hospitals to submit data on the quality measures. The activities and requirements undertaken by the PCH Quality Support Contractor in order to provide for program succes include: 1. Provide technical assistance and support of PCH providers. 2. Provide technical assistance and support of measure development and maintenance. 3. Provide technical assistance and support of data collection, calculation, validation, and audit cancer measures and additional submission of calculated measures to CMS. 4. Provide technical assistance and support other initiatives related to education, outreach and communication with PCH's reporting that might develop during the conduct of this contract Provide technical assitance and support with questions and answers (Q&A's)from each hospital to ensure data completeness and accuracies, Facilitate and conducting outreach, education, and communication efforts for providers, and performing data abstraction and analyses processes as required for CMS Identify communication modes and methods to disseminate educational outreach and training in the most efficient way 5. Provide technical assistance and support with inquiries from each hospital in regards to population and sampling methods. 6. Provide feedback to requesting hospitals to assist in their quality data reporting efforts. Responses must be submitted no later than June 27, 2012. Capability statements will not be returned and will not be accepted after the due date. The maximum number of pages for submission is 10 pages. This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this Notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this evaluation. Capability statements will not be returned and will not be accepted after the due date.
