Description
This is a full and open competition Magnitude of Construction is $100K - $500K In accordance with the FAA's Acquisition Management Policy Section 3.2.1.3.11 Public Announcements, the FAA Alaska Contracting Office has a requirement for removal of the existing roof, and furnishing and installing a new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Roof on the Administrative Wing at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), 700 N. Boniface Pkwy, Anchorage, AK. The size of the roof is approximately 22,700 sq ft. RFP DTFAWN-12-R-00160 is issued effective Thursday, June 14, 2012. The closing date for proposals is Tuesday, July 10, 2012. NAICS Code for the requirement is 238160 Roofing Contractors. To participate in this procurement the contractor must be a qualified firm approved, authorized, or licensed by the TPO membrane roofing system manufacturer to install the manufacturer's product. Requests for the RFP are to be submitted in writing or by phone call to the Contracting Officer (CO). The package will then need to be picked up at the CO's Office in the Anchorage Federal Building. No packages will be provided electronically. Also to be considered for an award of this project the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base (webside: www.ccr.gov) This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individual, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
