- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the April 2012 Federal Acquisition Regulation revision, which includes the consolidation of all Federal Acquisition Circulars through 2005-58. This announcement constitutes the formal Request for Quotation (RFQ) and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. USPFO for PA, Range 27, FTIG's Multi Purpose Training Range requires three sets of these devices to allow individual target lifters to interact with weapon systems firing the MILES (multiple integrated laser engagement system), the Army standard, weapon adaptable laser / simulated fire training system. This device will receive, process, and transfer an electric signal generated by a MILES weapon firing at a target mounted with a MILES compatible detector unit. A laser target interface device consists of 3 major components: a detector unit, a processing/ control box, and a cable that connects from the control box to an installation provided target lifter. A sub component is a cable between the detector unit and the control box. The detector unit (mounted on a target panel)picks up the MILES signal at the target lifter target, and transfer it to the electronics component (control box) of the system, which takes the signal and feeds it back to the target lifter at the hit sensor input.
