Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, FAR 6.302.5, with Nikon Instruments Inc.,1300 Walt Whitman Road FL 2, Melville, NY 11747-3001. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58, effective May 18, 2012. The associated NAICS code is 333314 and small business size standard is 500 employees. The acquisition is set-aside and is being negotiated as a SOLE SOURCE procurement.
