Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Pittsburgh Research Laboratory hereby announces its intent to issue a Purchase Order to Stratasys, Inc. to procure 1 - STR-162-00500 Fortus FDM 360mc System (Base Unit), 1 - STR-600-00100 Transformer 200-240 V, 1 - STR-162-20000 Large Envelope Option, 1 - STR-162-20100 ABS-M30 Material Option, 1 - STR-162-20250 PC Model with SR-100 Soluble Support Material Option, & 1 - PMT-HDW-SRSII SRSII Clean Station, Support Removal System 16 x 14 x 16. The Rapid Prototyping machine must meet or exceed the following specifications: Minimum build size envelope: 16" x 14" x 16". Minimum 3 different high performance, high strength thermoplastic model materials can be used (one material tensile strength of at least 9500 psi). 2 different model materials included with unit, 230 Volt AC, 3 phase power requirement. Multiple build speed options with different layer thicknesses. Cleaning station included. On-site installation and training included Overall dimension of machine must fit through standard 36 door opening. Responsible Sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice, their written item description/item characteristics and pricing information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages. Please forward the item description and pricing information to James Ambrozic, CDC NIOSH, 626 Cochrans Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, Reference 2012-Q-47501. All Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) prior to an award of a federal contract. The website is www.ccr.gov. The Government will review any/all item descriptions and pricing information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, in accordance with FAR 13.103-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with Stratasys, Inc., 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55344-2020, as the only source and a Purchase Order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
