- Architect/Engineering Service for New ATCT Tower at Sacramento, CA The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to replace the existing Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) and Base Building at the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) in Sacramento, California. This project will require the services of an Architectural-Engineering firm for the purpose of designing the facility including design development, production of contract documents, and will include Construction Support. This facility will fall under LEED guidelines and will require specialties in that area. The facility shall be an Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) based on standard FAA designs for an Intermediate Activity Level (AIL) ATCT and shall include a cab floor height of approximately 150' AGL, a 550 square foot ATCT Cab, and a 9,000 square foot administrative Base Building. This project is being solicited as a full and open competition with no set-aside for specific business sizes or categories. SPECIAL PROJECT INFORMATION: This Project is Subject to Availability of Funds. At the time of issuance of this Solicitation this project is authorized but funding has not been assigned. Please refer to Contract Clause 3.3.1-10 Availability of Funds (May 1997) in PART II - SECTION I. The anticipated funding schedule for this project assumes release of funds and award of contract in the last portion of Fiscal Year 2012 (late September 2012). The schedule for this Solicitation will be to proceed on the assumption that funding will be available for a Fiscal Year 2012 award. Request for Offers, Evaluation, Review, and Award with this reservation will proceed in order to be prepared to make a timely, end-of-year final award. SUMMARY: While this project is Authorized and there is Realistic Anticipation that this project will proceed, there is NO GUARANTEE that the necessary funds will become available for this project in Fiscal Year 2012. Potential Offerors should take this reality into consideration in their decision to bid and the nature of their offers. Deadline for submission of Offers is Thursday July 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM PDST.
