- Description
- NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle Program Integration Contract (MPIC). This is the follow-on competition to the contract requirements for the current Orion Project Integration Contract (OPIC), NNJ08TA13C, ending April 10, 2013. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This effort is to provide the MPCV Program Office with Management Products and Professional Services. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541712 - Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology) and 1,000 employees under the exception for Space Vehicles and Guided Missiles, their Propulsion Units, their Propulsion Units Parts, their Auxiliary Equipment and Parts. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the final RFP is on June 29, 2012 with an anticipated offer due date of August 13, 2012. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. All documents are for information and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition. All updates can be viewed on the MPIC Procurement website located at http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/mpcv. The data contained in the MPIC Procurement website is constantly being updated and refined. Please check the MPIC website periodically for updates, which are detailed in the Current News and Events Section located at the bottom of the MPIC home page. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors may notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
