- Description
- This project is being solicited under the Air Force Straddle Bid Authority. Funds are not currently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, either before or after the proposal closing date with no obligation to the offeror. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. This synopsis is for the Backup Power for 1SOCMS Facility, Building 90033. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and in the specifications. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, remove one exiting frequency converter and dispose of off-site, relocate one existing frequency converter and reconnect to existing power systems, remove existing dry type transformers and turn over to the Government, install a new 400Hz frequency converter and connect to existing power systems, and install a new bus duct circuit breakers above test benches in the work room. This acquisition will be set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238290 with a size standard of $14.0M. This contract will be a "Performance Price Trade-Off" contract; award will be made based on the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. The performance period is 180 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineering Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on or about 26 June 2012. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration database will render the interested party ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
