Description
The scintillation counter provided for the Inflammation and Cardiometabolic Diseases Lab will need to allow the user to detect ionizing radiation, a critical step in lipoprotein function assays, and that functions independently of an external computer. Software included in the equipment should allow the user to generate reports. Machine should also come with onsite training and tech support. Installation and one year warranty will be covered by the vendor for the machine. Vendor should provide 90 day warranty for software. General Specifications: Performance A. Scintillation counter should be able to read two isotopes simultaneously Software A. Software included should have automatic collection, storage, & communication of scintillation counter data via an existing computer. B. Software included should track instrument performance. C. Upgradeable by software with no hardware updates D. 32,768 channel multichannel analyzer (MCA) that gives an effective resolution of 0.06 keV per channel E. DPM without quench curves (Auto‐DPM), multi‐label studies with Automatic Quench Compensation (AQC) & automatic color detection and correction F. analyzer with a 137Cs source for DPM reliability Printing A. A printer should be included with the purchase of the equipment. B. Purchase should also include a starter pack of paper. Training A. Equipment purchase includes onsite training for at least one hour. Installation and Warranty A. Installation is provided with the purchase of the equipment. At least a one year warranty on the machine must be included with purchase. B. Warranty on the software must be at least 90 days.
