Description

The VA Medical Center, White River Junction, VT intends to publish a solicitation to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision, to provide all labor, equipment and material, except utilities, to complete the following: o On a spot point basis, cut to 3/8" depth or to sound mortar all deteriorated brick mortar joints and repoint with mortar matching existing as closely as possible (approximately 1,323 square feet). o Remove and replace all badly spalled, cracked, or deteriorated brick with new brick to match existing as closely as possible (approximately 500 pieces). o Recast and Recap the chimney top. o Restore all metal finishes and repaint exposed hardware. o Restoration cleans exterior masonry using a combination of restoration detergents and pressure washers (approximately 2,647 square feet). o Apply a wet-on-wet saturation of Siloxane damp proofing (approximately 3,128 square feet). Window glass and metal will be covered prior to damp proofing. o Clean up and dispose of spent debris. for project # 405-12-010, Boiler Stack Repointing, in accordance with drawings and specifications, at the VA Medical Center, White River Junction, VT. The construction cost range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable NAICS code is 238140 and the size standard is $14.0 million. The estimated completion period for this work, including inspection and final cleanup, is 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Award will be based on the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors will include price related factors as well as technical factor of management approach and past performance. The solicitation package will be issued on June 26, 2012. The date for receipt of offers is scheduled for July 25, 2012, at 10:00 am. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) in accordance with Public Law 109-461. In order to be considered for award, the SDVOSB shall be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprises in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation 804.1102. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, may be accessed for download on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.fbo.gov. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted solely to this web site. It is the responsibility of the offeror to verify the number of amendments issued.
