- Description
- The estimated magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The work involves reconditioning about 5 miles of motorized trail by converting existing road storage waterbars and colvert removal dips into OHV accessible waterbars. The projected period of performance is approximately August 2012 - January 2013. A contractor will likely want to do as much work as possible before the onset of winter. All prospective offerors are invited to identify themselves to the contracting officer by sending a one-page fax to 907.772.5894 -- the fax should reference this solicitation AG-0116-S-12-0082 and include the company name; address and contact information; small, HUBZone, SDVOSB, or other status under the 237990 NAICS; and a brief past performance summary. A total small business set-aside is contemplated. However, this decision may change at the issuance of the solicitation based on the prospective offerer responses. A hosted site visit is not planned, but prospective offerors are expected to visit the work site before submitting proposals. The site is on remote public lands, and visitors may provide a courtesy notice of their planned visits to the Wrangell Ranger District office at fax 907.874.7595. A draft set of drawings is provided with this pre-solicitation synopsis for the benefit of prospective offerors.
