- The U.S. Geological Survey, National Geospatial Program has a requirement to embrace and communicate the message of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). The project will start with an analysis of existing low water bridges, then focus on assigning event features of the low water bridges to the NHD dataset. Identifying all low water bridges within the state will greatly reduce the economic impact of flooding, future construction, and will greatly assist in emergency response coordination during flooding events. Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the government considers the item specified as a sole source from The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and proposes to negotiate with that entity on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Affirmative response shall be received by this office by close of business June 23, 2012 by 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. This notice may represent the government's only official notice of this procurement.
