Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for the purchase of Personal Identification Verification (PIV) smart cards. The TAC intends to award a sole source, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) one year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Emesec, Inc. 1818 Library Street, Suite 500, Reston, Virginia. This company had been verified in VA Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c )(5), 38 U.S.C. 8127 (c), known as Veterans First Contracting Program which provides the authority to directly contract with a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and FAR 6.302-5. As noted, this company had been verified as an SDVOSB and is currently undergoing the re-verification process and shall be verified at time of award. The proposed action is for the delivery of PIV test cards and PIV smart cards. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this effort is 334112 with a corresponding small business size standard of 1000 for number of employees. The estimated date of award for this action is June 29, 2012.
