- Description
- Portable Airworthy Digital X-ray Imaging Device The Combat Casualty Care Research Program of the Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) provides integrated capabilities for far-forward medical care to reduce mortality and morbidity associated with major battlefield wounds and injuries. The USAMRMC is seeking information regarding an airworthy portable digital x-ray device for imaging internal body structures for use by medical professionals on an evacuation airframe. Interested firms should submit a 1-3 page whitepaper (with additional sheets for diagrams as necessary) describing such devices and the concept of use. Information will be reviewed pursuant to consideration for the development of a request for devices to be tested. As such, any descriptions of clinical use or test and evaluation studies will be of use. For the purposes of this request for information, we anticipate that devices: 1) Device will be capable of digital x-ray imaging of internal body structures; 2) device will be airworthy and capable of being placed on rotary and fixed wing evacuation aircraft; 3) device will be capable of producing readable images of internal body structures in flight on the aircraft; 4) device will be capable of transmitting images to fixed or deployed medical facilities while in flight; 5) device will have built-in wireless/satellite image transmission capability; 6) device will be hardened for use in deployed environments; 7) device will be capable of being certified for airworthiness; 8) Be of light weight; 9) Have low cube.
