- SUBJECT: TIMBER MARKING SERVICES FOR THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS WEST POINT LAKE, WEST POINT, GEORGIA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District is requesting Timber Marking Services at the West Point Lake, West Point Georgia. The purpose of this contract is to mark and tally trees to be cut in stands scheduled for future timber sales on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers land at West Point Lake, Georgia. The majority of timber marking work will be performed in natural pine and mixed pine-hardwood stands. The Period of Performance is 120 days after receipt of contract award to the West Point Powerhouse. This solicitation is a set aside100% for Small Business under NAICS 113110. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website: https://www.fbo.gov ON or AROUND June 11, 2012. All prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format. Therefore, it is the offerors responsibility to check the website for solicitation posting and any changes to the solicitation. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. No telephone or faxed requests will be accepted. Registration requirements (applicable to US firms only, as required by DFARS 204.7300), all US contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone (including area code), a valid fax number, email address and a point of contact.
