The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/PKOA is seeking expressions of interest having the capability to provide the following: Power Amplifier, 1 kWatt pulsed Kirtland AFB, NM requires a 1 kWatt pulsed Power Amplifier operating over the range of 500 to 1000 MHz. The amplifier may be solid state, tube or any combination of the two. Background: Currently Kirtland AFB, NM has a set of 1 kWatt pulse only TWT amplifiers from 1 to 18 GHz. It also has pulse amplifiers that cover the 20 to 500 MHz range (one tube, one solid state). Kirtland AFB, NM needs an amplifier with similar characteristics to cover the intermediate range of 0.5 to 1 GHz. Amplifiers are turned on and off ("gated") via an externally applied TTL signal. Environment is general laboratory use with occasional truck transport.
