- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Fulltime Locum Physician contract with a six (6) month period of performance for the Lexington VA Medical Center Community Based Out-Patient Clinic (CBOC) located in Somerset, Kentucky. The VISN 9 Network Contracting Office is looking for one (1) Provider to provide treatment for beneficiaries of the Lexington VA Medical Center CBOC with general medical conditions. Contractor will provide continuous, reliable coverage of services in accordance with VA policies and procedures. This market research is being conducted in accordance with 38 U.S.C. § § 8127-8128 (2006) Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006; therefore, only CVE certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) are invited to respond. Contractor employee should be skilled in Adult Medicine, and must be able to provide a comprehensive medical care. Contractor employee must provide for the continuous delivery and management of primary health care and the continuity of care for veterans in an outpatient setting. The practitioner shall be on site at the Somerset CBOC Somerset, KY five (5) days per week, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 4:30pm. Contractor shall ensure accreditation requirements are met, including reviewing checklists, compliance for JCAHO and CARF. Contractor employee shall document patient care in the patient chart via the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). Training regarding the use of CPRS will be provided by the VA Medical Center. All documentation shall be completed in accordance with VA policy and procedures. Contractor employees shall follow all VA guidelines regarding infection control and safety. The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the Government. Contractor employee assigned to perform services covered by this contract shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. The Contractor employee must: "Be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine "Have a current, unrestricted Medical License "Be credentialed and privileged by the VA to practice in the Primary Care profession at the VA prior to performance of any services under this contract "Possess a current DEA license "Be BLS certified Interested parties should submit a capabilities package demonstrating the ability to perform work. Packages should include the following information: (1) Business name, address and small business type, (2) A positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this requirement as a prime contractor, (3) Demonstration of the firm's experience within the past five years, by listing similar contracts, (4) Proof of CVE certification as a SDVOSV or VOSB in accordance with VAAR 804.1102. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought Announcement.
