Description
Davis-Bacon Wage Determination Project Drawings Project Specifications SF 1442 Solicitation This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for construction services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subparts 15.2 and 36.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Proposal (RFP) AG82X9S120111. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFP are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-59 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.acquisition.gov/far. The United States Forest Service (USFS) encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, veteran, and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible small business concerns may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Forest Service. The Government requires performance of the work described in these documents to upgrade stream crossings in the Coal Creek, Colorado area. This project consists of removing three existing corrugated metal pipes from National Forest Lands and installing two Government furnished open bottom box culverts on Coal Creek, one at Splains Gulch (NFSR 7885) and one at Kebler Wagon Trailhead (NFST 606) just off Kebler Pass Road (Gunnison County Road 12). Successful bidder shall transport Government furnished structures from Ropers Admin. Site near Gunnison, Colorado, excavate to grade as shown on the drawings, install the metallic box culverts, compact and re-shape the roadway, surface it with aggregate, and construct one rolling dip at the Splains Gulch crossing. The streambed shall be shaped and rock sills installed as shown on the drawings. Contractor will be responsible for any required permits, temporary traffic control, and adherence to MUTCD requirements. Enter prices in SF1442 Section B using a typewriter or black ink. Follow instructions carefully in sections K, L and M; these will be included in any subsequent award.

Address: Project is accessed from Gunnison, Colorado by traveling north on State Highway 135 approximately 27.6 miles to Crested Butte, Colorado and then west on Gunnison County Road 12 approximately 5.6 miles to the Splains Gulch Road intersection.
