Description

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE This notice fulfills the transmittal of synopsis per FAR 5.207. GENERAL INFORMATION: The 802d Contracting Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas in support of the Inter-American Air Forces Academy (IAAFA) is conducting a Non-Personal Services acquisition for Training Aircraft Maintenance. Requirements under this acquisition will include providing training aircraft maintenance services for IAAFA ensuring that all Ground Instructional Training Aircraft (GITAs), Trainer Aircraft Aids (TAA), mock ups, and support equipment (SE)/aerospace ground equipment (AGE) utilized for the 318 TRS/TM's training mission are maintained to applicable standards and available to meet instructor and student needs as required by the mission. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Plans and Scheduling (P&S), Engine Management (EMB), Aerospace Vehicle Distribution Officer (AVDO), Support Section management, Technical Order Distribution Officer (TODO/TODA), as well as the performance of other additional duties identified. Place of performance for the Transient Aircraft Maintenance acquisition will be Lackland AFB, TX. The solicitation will be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside Source Selection conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. An electronic solicitation for this requirement is anticipated to be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov) on or about June 2012. The NAICS Code is 488190 (Other Support Activities for Air Transportation) with the size standard of $30M. The requirement will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Requirements Contract to include a basic year plus four (4) option years. Central Contract Registration (CCR) will be mandatory for this contract (see CCR website at (https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/).
