Description
Mr. Robert Williams is the Point of Contact for ALL questions for this project. The purpose of this construction contract is to provide new construction and renovation work to provide improvements to Humanitarion Organizations in the greater Tunis, Tunisia area. The construction contract will primarily address general building new construction and renovation, excavation, plumbing, demolition, electrical, structural, mechanical, concrete work and road and pavement repair. a. Construction of the addition to the Vocational Training Center, Ariana, Tunisia. The construction of a second floor addition. The vocational training center will be built in Ariana on the site of the existing Ariana Technical/Professional School. The two level building will include three classrooms, three workshops, an occupational therapy room, a cafeteria, a crafts exhibit room and administrative offices. Total project scope is 928m2 and consists of a groundfloor expansion (354 m2) and a second floor addition (560 m2). b. Construction of the Muscular Dystrophy Center, Tunis, Tunisia. The Muscular Dystrophy Assistance Center will provide critically needed infrastructure to a segment of the handicapped population in Tunisia that are victims of solitude and isolation and in need of comprehensive medical care and social support. This project will support the Tunisian government's initiative to bolster the integration of handicapped citizens through civil society institutions. The facility is a two-story building totaling 503 m2 ( 290m2 first floor, 213m2 second floor). Scope includes a guardhouse driveway ramp and parking with carports. c. Construction of an Addition to the Red-Crescent facility in Megrine. The addition consists of 6 additional rooms for lodging of volunteers and one small supply room for training equipment and materials. The construction will total 250 m2 Scope includes a guardhouse, parking and sidewalks. This one solicitation will result in in one construction contract award. Successful Awardees shall be required to meet specific country requirements that shall be identified. A Best Value determination will be made for the contract award. Magnitude of Range for this Project is: $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation will be available on or about 18 June 2012.
