Description

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS PITTSBURGH REGIONAL OFFICE DETERMINATIONS AND FINDINGS FINDINGS 1.The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Pittsburgh Regional Office, through it's contracting activity, plans to solicit offers from Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Construction contractors, and has conducted market research that demonstrates our requirement can be procured using a SDVOSB construction contractor. Description of the procurement action: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to complete residential home modification consistent with meeting the independent living needs of a disabled Veteran. Work to be performed includes construction of an accessible bathroom and bedroom, ADA compliant driveway, sidewalk and car port. Primary NAICS code is 236118. Estimated total value for this procurement is $128,800. 2.Applicable Status/Regulations: 38 U.S.C. 8127 and Public Law 109-461. 3.Results of Market Research: This requirement will be sole sourced to a deserving SDVOSB. DETERMINATIONS A review of R&R Construction Services, Inc, Moon Township, PA capability and profile information in VetBiz and CCR revealed that they have the experience, expertise and bonding level to perform the scope of work outlined in this project. It is my determination of the Contracting Officer that the project will be issued as a Sole Source to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business in accordance with PL 109-461.
