- Project Number:586-10-107 "Renovate 4C North and South for Improved Patient Environment" Project Description The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, VISN 16 NCO will issue on or about June 19, 2012 Invitation for Bid (IFB) VA-256-12-B-1111 for Renovate 4C North and South for Improved Patient Environment. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to perform work for project 586-10-107 for the Department of Veterans Affairs, G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, in Jackson, Mississippi all in accordance with the Scope of Work, Specifications, & Drawings provided in the solicitation. Work to be Performed The project shall include will not be limited to: Demolition, Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, & Electrical. The project work shall include demolition and reconstruction on space to house newly renovated inpatient medical care wards, as required by the project plans and specifications. All work, including final cleanup and completion of all punchlist items, shall be performed within five hundred fifty (550) calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. All work must comply with applicable VA standards; be performed in accordance with latest editions of all codes (including but not limited to NFPA codes, Uniform Building Codes, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards, and the Environment Protection Act); and follow VHSO procedures. General The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; the Small Business Size Standard is $33.5M, applies to this procurement. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between: $5,000,000 - $10,000,000. The procurement is set-aside 100% to qualified Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In order for a firm to be considered, the firm must be verifiable in the Center for Veterans Enterprise (VetBiz) at the time of submission of their bid. Offers from other than SDVOSB firms shall not be accepted. Pre-Bid Conference A pre-bid conference will be held approximately two weeks after the issuance of the solicitation. The exact date, time, and location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. Firms interested in having representatives attend the Pre-Bid Conference should email the following information to: ashlei.donerson@va.gov : Firm's name, address, telephone number, email address and representative name. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is strongly encouraged.
