Reference Form Contract Template RMO/PCMC Application 50% RMO SOW 50% PCMC SOW This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation. Peace Corps seeks a physician with independent practice experience to serve as a Peace Corps Regional Medical Officer (RMO) 50% of the time and Peace Corps Medical Contractor (PCMC) 50% of the time in Rabat Morocco. This position is a paid contractor position. RMO duties include providing medical and administrative support to PCMCs at sub-regional posts as well as providing medical consultative services to Peace Corps Volunteers/Trainees (PCVs/PCTs) and Peace Corps Response Volunteers through the PCMO at sub-regional posts. PCMC duties include providing healthcare, education and counseling services to PCVs/PCTs in their countries of assignment. See the attached Statements of Work for a complete description of responsibilities. Required Qualifications: Minimum three years PCMC experience Currently licensed physician Minimum five years recent, relevant primary care experience Willing to travel extensively within a sub region A background security investigation will be required. The contract award will be subject to the contractor's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication prior to award No unfavorable actions related to medical malpractice, state license, clinical privileges, etc. in National Practitioner Data Bank. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration to be awarded a Federal Government contract. Registration can be accomplished at www.ccr.gov Professional fluency in English Application Requirements: 1. All applicants should submit the following materials together to Peace Corps via FAX or email at the contact information listed below: Application form (Form attached) Current resume Copies of current professional licenses and certifications Three confidential professional references submitted directly from the issuing individual. (Form attached) Competitive evaluation of applicants will be based on the following criteria : Peace Corps requires that RMO applicants have and maintain a current, active MD license. All practitioners must maintain their national certifications during the entire contract period. All candidates will be further evaluated on the following criteria. 1. Minimum five years recent, relevant primary care experience 2. Independent practice experience 3. Demonstrated ability to travel and live under difficult conditions and to work effectively in a cross- cultural environment 4. Training and experience in trauma care 5. Knowledge of endemic diseases and health hazards in developing countries 6. Counseling experience and ability 7. Potential impact to Peace Corps health system 8. Minimum three years Peace Corps Medical Officer experience 9. Experience providing preventive health education and training to non-medical personnel 10. Experience managing and administering health care systems, clinics, or out-patient programs 11.
