- The Southeast Louisiana Healthcare System will lease additional space to supplement its offices at 1555 Poydras St. in support Project Legacy. As a result of this increased this workload, VISN16 will be hiring and providing additional procurement staff who will need this additional office space from which to work. The office will work exclusively with the Legacy office working out of suite 1800 to complete the construction of the VA's new hospital and provide procurement support services to complete and fully equip the hospital. This will be a direct working relationship between the offices and collocation is essential to effective project management. When the project is complete the staff will be disbursed to other procurement activities throughout the VA and this space vacated. This is a temporary lease of up to 3 years firm. The lease requires a minimum 4,500 rentable square feet and minimum tenant improvement necessary to make the space functional. The VA prefers to not undertake any tenant improvements. Offered Space located outside of the identified building will be considered if it is in the best interest of the government, Project workflow impacts, improvement costs, immediate availability, and terms considered. Questions or offers can be submitted to the P.O.C. no later than 6/8/2012. The delineated area for this requirement is identified as lying within the square defined by the intersections of Poydras Street and Claiborne Street to Poydras Street and Freret Street and the intersections of Perdido Street and S. Caliborne Street to Perdido Street and Freret Street. See diagram below.
